Why this brand exists
AncientModern.ai was created to solve a trust problem in herbal supplements. Most brands ask people to buy a bottle without showing the full logic behind the formula. AncientModern takes the opposite path: publish the recipe, explain every ingredient, show the home version, and make sourced versions available for people who want identity checks, contaminant screening, and batch consistency.
Respiratory wellness is the first formula family, not the whole category. The broader mission is to build a public library of plant formulas for modern life — beginning with respiratory support and expanding into gut, immune, sleep, and daily resilience as the research map grows.
Chris Miller, Founder & Research Lead
Chris Miller founded AncientModern.ai after seeing how much useful plant knowledge gets trapped between two extremes: vague supplement marketing on one side and dismissive summaries on the other. His work is focused on building a more transparent model, where the company shares the ingredient list, the reasoning, the growing path when possible, the home preparation path, and the standards used when AncientModern sources a finished version.
As founder and research lead, Chris guides the open-formula standard, the research agenda, and the first-batch development process. AncientModern will add named herbal, manufacturing, and testing advisors as each formula family moves closer to production, with the goal of making the people behind the work visible before products ship.
